Well get that thing uncovered and head to the Wellsboro Area the weekend of the July 17, 18 & 19.
The rest of you folks...break out the tents, pop-ups, blow up the mattress, dig out the sleeping bags or roll up the sheets and blanket, break out the flash lights but more important.....bring your body...alive and well
All are welcome to come and spend the weekend......For those who would like to come early...check in time starts at 11 Am Friday July 17th and will run to July 19th but you are welcome to stay longer if you desire.
A group area has been set aside for that weekend. You will be camping four miles West of the Pa. Grand Canyon just off Rt6. For the locals, it's known as FROME ACRES. All information will be posted in another post.

They rented a cabin right beside the water and she said the cabin

I think it is pretty nice place here. I have lived here all my life. It is nice and quiet and has lots of things to do. So down by the creek and see the Bald Eagles. AWESOME!!!!
I am looking forward to the Camping Meet and Greet.

This is not directed at one person but I have detected certain comments and such and just want to say, no one knows who anyone really is outside these words on a screen. Can be other reasons one may be unaware of.

Not sure "if" this was a in-direct comment toward this statement which is in part here:
"To those who did not attend.....I know that some could not because of other obligations but for the ones who "could have but did not"......Just what are you waiting for? Your own actions speak loud and clear....especially the ones that did attend this function."
The word obligations means duty, state of being obligated.....We all are aware of the terms issues which are in part obligations to self, family, children, pets and other duties in our everyday lives.
My statement was directed to those who have no obligations, have the ability and funds,
but will not venture out and just hope that someone will drop into their lap or jump out of the computer screen.....I for one am not judging anyone....only stating a fact of life. Whether it be a Meet and Greet or a weekend camping trip....somethings are understood....it's also implies, you can do the talk, now lets see if you can do the walk......

Couple of good reasons for that,,, One he spends a lot of time there,,
two, the area is beautiful,,,
three, I don't see anyone else coming up with ideas and posting meet and greets..
These meet and greet take a lot of work and planning, and sometimes alot of money on the part of the person hosting..
I was very lucky and everyone chipped in and helped me.. So my party was not a hardship,
This should be the way it works with all of the meet and greets..
I had groomer drive from minnasota,, shm, chicklets, kk came from Delaware and around Philly.. Its not the point that its local.. Its the point that we want to meet.. The drives dont mean to much.. I have driven to Wellsboro for our very first meet and greet and will do it again in July.. Hope to see you there..

Hugs.... We all have reasons to do or not to do something.. If you get a chance for the next one, by all means try to attend..I want to give you hugs in real life..that is, if I can make it. Summertime is a difficult time for me.. family reunions, distant grandson to see, work obligations..so you are not alone in that respect. Keep the faith and keep that pretty smile on you face.

To answer your question.....No reservation needed....I will have this confirmed again by days end.
When you arrive at the camping area, you will need to check into the office and sign in. This is to let the owner know who is in the area, pay the fee which is $9.00 per person per night stay. There will be a number provide in the post in case of an emergency that your love ones can get hold of you for that reason, "Emergency". The area of camping doesn't have good cell service, so I would highly doubt that you will be receiving many calls. I sincerely hope that this information was of help.

Our house has a bedroom upstairs pretty small but we'd move in there and give the bigger one to the ladies . We have room in the basement for the guys plus a back bedroom ,sleeper couch in the living room or we can switch things according to who comes . Theres also a huge backyard with a deck .

Judge..hotel rooms are 'spensive out this way...kind of a suburb of NYC with Rt. 80 being a clear shot out here. Was thinking more on the lines of some campground that has cabins, RV hook-ups and tent sites. Our agency is renting a few cabins for our clients on the western side of Allentown for a week in august and the cabins can fit 6-7 people (split the cost) and have kitchens and bathrooms. I know sleeping on the ground is not for me..especially with this bum knee. Stumpy was going to look into the rod and gun club that he belongs to but haven't heard back from him yet. Or renting a big firehall for an all day all night bash, but then again sleeping arrangements would be up to the individual chatters. If anyone has any ideas for NE Pa let me know.

What about Nockamixon State Park? They have cabins, and as PA residents we get a discounted rate. 2-3 bedrooms are available, and they have all the amenities (kitchen, toilet/shower room, electric, etc). It is about an hour south of Bangor, though....don't know if that's too far for you to want to host, shm. It's the closest state park I could find to the Allentown area.
The rates are:
Sleeps six, $90.57/night
Sleeps 7-9, $113.21/night
Those are the Fri-Sat rates in offpeak season (Sept. is offpeak). That's about $15 a night per person, not bad at all for cabins. The problem would be knowing EXACTLY how many were coming so that you didn't book too many cabins and get stuck paying more!
