l am new here also and l am Canadian, although l have lived in the United States in states such as Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee all of which l loved and learned alot about the differences in lifestyles of the Southerners as apposed to the Canadians up North. I drove so crossing the Mason / Dixon line was pretty neat for me.
Often l was asked questions about what Canada was like and how the people were only because l suspect that Canadian History or Geography was never taught in schools at one time, so l was more then happy to answer all inquiries.
l think they looked at me a bit oddly at first because of the accent l had , when for me, it was getting used to the Southern Accent which could be really hard to follow unless l was really listening hard. Alot of good experiences though and made alot of wonderful friends.
Thanks to the internet, l am still lucky to keep in touch with those friends that were left behind when l returned to Canada.
I had a period of wanderlust when l was younger so l was fortunate that l had chances available, that I was able to travel and see parts of the world and learn about different ways of life and wisdom in which l carry still with me today. I still get that feeling in me at times, but my heart tells me that l am here to guide my teens now, so they grow in the right direction.
l consider my life adventurous in it's own right, with life dropping in with it's own storyline at times, but l would love to have someone to share my time with. lt gets lonely when you feel like talking about what is going on or something that you want to share and no one is there but your three cats and tea cup chi hua hua staring at you.
Well, that is about it for now, hope to meet you soon, Michelle
