I am new to this site so I am not familiar with it as of yet.....but I do know that on other sites if you aren't a member the only thing you can do ....is send a wink or a flirt.

I had one wink last night. Trying to get over my winks are lame thoughts, I wrote back thanking for the wink and commenting that laughter was always good (he had said something about laughter in his limited profile with a pic that was too far away to be much more than mine is). Simple and to the point.. thanks for the wink.. laughter is always good
This morning I get an email Hey sexy give me a call at .......
Pretty much it told me he was looking for anyone who answered. It ain't me babe

To me, wink REALLY means, that a guy/girl just winks to every guy/girl, he/she interested in,(more likely hundred or so), to see who would respond back to their lil' winks.
Personally,I don't do the wink thing because to me, it's tellin' someone that I don't have the time to talk to them, so why should I bother responding?
What makes the difference from winkers and e-mailers is that a winker should take that lil' extra time and effort to say in words what/why a person is interesting to them.
because e-mailers are the ONLY ones that I respond and answer to.

I agree with kittyj, you don't have to write a journal or tell your lifes dreams. Email them keep it simple and easy. Think about it. If you where walking in the mall and a person walks up stands in front of you winks and walks away, what would you do? The same person walks up introduces themself and asks how you are doing? which situation would be more likely to get a conversation started?
