Is it just me - when I hear someone say in a prayer "Fahter-God" ..... it drives me up the wall !!!!!!!
When you talk to your parents do you say "Mommy-Mother", "Daddy-Father" or "Nana-Grandmother".
And in prayer do you have to say it at the beginning and end of every sentence !!!!!
UGGGGHHHHHH !!!!!!!
I guess I'm not one for being politically correct! Heck, I don't even think I can spell it right.
Just needed to vent. Thanks.

i think, when one uses that term, it just defignes Him more.
rather than God,the Spirit,or God the Son.Your denoting God the Father.
also your not praying to biological father.

Thanks guys ........... opening with Hevenly Father and it sprinkled in and at the end.
I guess I've just head it "over used" and when that is done I lose site of the original prayer. I have to then tune it out and say my own.
Don't get me wrong my faith is deep. I guess it just got on my nerves and I had to vent.

The bible refers to any fathers in our past as fathers, whether its grandfather, great great grandfather, all are referred to in the present tense as father. However God is the Father of us all. I think its a very appropriate name for HIM.
