I was looking at some of the profiles and noticed some people don't participate in any and am alittle concious about what people will think when I say things in certain forums. but to be honest close minded people are not my type anyway. thanks for the input.

Geo13 many people do not participate in the forums...but they do read
the threads...the forums allows you to get a feel for someone...so just
because someone does not post...doesn't mean they haven't learned anything
about you.
My special lady told me that she felt she knew me just by reading my posts
over the past few months before we met. It was because of the forums that
helped her interest along. So, I would have to say they have a positive
impact...at least for me...
