I would have excused myself and left. However, just because one person was incredibly rude, doesn't mean everyone will be. I can understand being displeased with how the date went, but it sounds like you're overreacting a bit.

You are right to be upset about someone being so inconsiderate while on a date with you. It's definitely good that you found out now about this side of her. It wasn't pleasant, but the good part is that you are in control of who you date and you can choose to not let her have the pleasure of your company ever again. It's a fairly safe thing to say that most of us have been out on a date with someone who was a total creep, slob, jerk or whatever name you'd like to use (I'll refrain from referring to women as b*tches or men as bastards)so you aren't alone.
Dating is a great way to get to know people and you just did. You may date and find many who aren't right for you, but you'll eventually meet someone who is. If you don't date, the chances of finding your someone special are pretty slim.

Many will want to establish an order of "who is in charge" early on, and they will start with the first date.
