Judging by the questions posed on the forums, the divorce rate, and the way relationships seem to end, why is it that we can't just find true love. In my own opinion, I think we all try too hard to obtain love. We all want to be loved, we all like to be wanted, to have someone in out life. We seem to accept a cute face, a great pickup line, a great personality just because we want someone, and it makes us feel important. Science has shown that women are attracted to men who they feel will be a good father to their children, while men seem to want a woman who is going to make them look good. Is the answer to this that simple? If a man does make a good father to his children, will he be a good husband for you? If a woman makes us look good when walking down the street, does that make her a great wife? True love is the union of two souls as one. Untill we can accept others into our lives, both spirtually, physically, mentally , and emotionaly, we will never find true love. Trust yourself and you will find true love. Don't expect true love to just appear. Extend your energy into improving your mental, emotional, and spirtual state, and you will finally realize what true love is.

This is going to sound simple, but it is true.
I love a lot of people, and I am also loved by them.
But there is a difference between loving and being in love.
Being in love is so much more complicated.
In every way.

i believe that love finds us, we don't find it. You can search and search, but until it comes knocking you won't find it. You can't pick a person and say, Ok I am gonna be in love with him/her. IF you do, hmmm I think they have some sort of therapy for that. LOL

Good for you. You hit the nail on the head. However, that's not what most people do. Men and women both start with visual attraction. Then comes "Chemistry". Then the discovery process. We all know how successful "Chemistry" is. Look at the divorce rate. 55% first marrigage fail. Second marriages aren't much better. About 20% are successful. Third marriages, about 13% are successful. So much for "Chemistry". If you can get past the chemistry and get to friends first, then lust, then sustaining the relationship. Yes, both men and women have to work at it. No shortcuts! Then you have a great chance of learning to love someone and staying together without getting bored and thinking you've outgrown your other half. Be patient. Relationships are very difficult. If your not realistic, then you will be jumping around. Maybe most people want that? What is your relationship IQ? Most people are dumb. They didn't have good parental examples. We have to learn early from somewhere.

You can't find love when your expecting to. I have plenty of people to love because I focus on friendship. After I divorce I come to understand the importance and protection of building friendships. All Botfriends I had solid friendship with and still are friends and I hope I impacted their lives and made a difference...I brought genuiness and honest unconditional love, for some it opened a whole new world to their eyes...Like I always say "Love you'll never be hurt"...it makes a difference, you just have to know how to never make it about yourself.
