Ive had atleast a dozen people contact me and send a frienship request, then in response ive added them...then nothing, they never even try to get to know me? Is there some kind of contest about whom has the most friends on there profile or what? lol...

I could care less about the numbers actually.. I usually don't add people as friends. If I do add someone its only because I do talk to them on a somewhat regular basis. I know what you mean about some people sending those requests and then never talking to ya. That is sort of the reason that I don't add people.

Lady agreed! I'm not here for a high school popularity contest! I add people for the same reason... and there are also those, that aren't on my list becuase they haven't requested it - and we stay in contact...
General rule, If you don't them, haven't talked to them, no common interests? Why do it?

I choose not to add friends... not even those who ARE my friends. Even when I used to list friends, there would never be one on my list that I didn't know. Some use that list as a comfort of somesort... well that person can't be a loon, they are after all, listed on the list of one I would call friend. I must be missing something...
Many use the friendship list as a reference of sorts. It is not always a reliable one.

yeah its like a myspace thing? popularity contest maybe.. also could be that through more friends added equals more people who will see your profile somehow? but yeah im constantly deleting people i dont talk to on myspace and also just plain quit allowing friend requests without talking to the people first.. but even my closest friends on there i hardly talk to prob my own fault also cuz im usually pretty busy to write them all

It's like collecting stamps they just want to see how many they can get, and it's like a trophy wall for them to look at. That's why I don't get into the friends list thing.

Have you tried to contact them?..the internet works both ways babe! Send them a message, if they don't reply back, delete them..simple as that!

Mike...I agree. I talk and care about my friends here, talk to a lot of them through forums, email, tx and phone.
If you choose them for friends, and it's bothering you...get to know them!
Friends make my world happy!

Like collectin' stampz eh? Trophy's? Puuuleeze Louise. People gravitate 2 folkz they enjoy. Plain n simple. Put the time in n get resultz if that's what you want. I enjoy the company on-line of my friendz as well as otherz. I try not 2 pounce on 'em as soon as they boot up n give 'em a little breathin' room. I ask 4 or accept folkz that I'm attracted to just like in real life. Had some delete n that's OK. I've deleted n block some folkz. They weren't bad folkz, just didn't want the drama in my life. I'm chocked full of that already. I make it a point 2 contact 'em every so often if we don't chat on a regular basis. Take a deep breath n carry on. It's all good. I invest a lot of time n ladiez are my friendz coz they want 2 be..........
