I think this little story is appropriate for posting here in the religion Forum as there is a battle going on in each of us in exploring, experiencing and learning about what we believe. Hope that you will enjoy this little story that contains alot of truth.

Native Wisdom
A Grandfather from the Cherokee Nation was talking with his grandson.
"A fight is going on inside me," he said to the boy.
"It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves."
"One wolf is evil and ugly: He is anger, envy, war, greed, self-pity, sorrow, regret, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, selfishness and arrogance."
"The other wolf is beautiful and good: He is friendly, joyful, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, justice, fairness, empathy, generosity, true, compassion, gratitude, and deep VISION."
"This same fight is going on inside you, and inside every other human as well."
The grandson paused in deep reflection because of what his grandfather had just said. Then he finally cried out; "Oyee! Grandfather, which wolf will win?"
The elder Cherokee replied,
"The wolf that you feed."

Oh, Sweet Beautiful Suzy;
What a beautiful Sister you are for sharing such a wonderful story with all of us here! This story is so full of insight on what I attempt to relay to other sisters and brothers in what we term as Spreading the Peace and Love of our Lord and Savior.
All the descriptive characteristics within both of the wolves is the battle we face daily in all our interactions with all we meet throughout our daily lives. Depending on the wolf we feed reflects how we keep our Saviors Two Great Commandments He left to us:
Love God with all your heart, mind and soul,
Love your neighbor as you love yourself.
For many of us doing the first of these commandments is to fulfill the second commandment first; this would be feeding the good wolf.
Again Suzy, thank you so much for sharing this inspiring story. I love it and am confident that many other sisters and brothers will love it also. And may I also add that all our sisters and brothers do not have to be any denomination to appreciate the honesty of the message of this story.
Welcome to the forum and to the love of our Unity.
May the Peace and Love of our Eternal Creator walk with you in all your interactions

Thank You Susy for The Food for Thought. That is the most perfect analogy for
how we feed our Mind Body and Souls; Everyday we have a choice of what foods
we allow to nourish or destroy us.
I have so enjoyed your post...I will pass it along to my family and friends.
Thanks
