I'm definitely in the minority here, but I probably wouldn't. I've known too many people in the military and seen how hard it is for their spouses when they're deployed overseas or sent off for a few months of training. The spouses, in many cases, seem to end up living for the day their loved one comes home, trying to cram as much living as possible into the short time they are together, dreading the day they have to leave again, and fearing the possibility that they may never come home again. That's a challenging life, filled with sacrifices. Some military personnel and their spouses seem to be able to cope with those challenges gracefully. Others do not seem so graceful. I know myself well enough to know that I would probably be totally stressed out by the lifestyle.
Having said that....thanks for serving. You have my utmost respect and gratitude.

I would never date a killer. PERIOD. I already turned down a killer that wasn't contracted to kill. I wont date a hunter. Although I'd date someone who eat's meat- so I'm a bit hypocritical. But I wouldn't date anyone in the military.

Life is never certain. I'm more likely to get killed 3.5 miles from my house.

What is the risk in dating? In talking to someone? In making a new friend?
Yes...and of course, then in loving someone.
I'd much rather love and lose (yep, winner) than to have never loved at all.
Because then I win, I learn about myself and life.

cop- hmm... A cop could get interesting- wouldnt last for more than 2 seconds, but it would definently be interesting.
But someone in the military would just plain be stupid.

I'm a vet and haveing a hard time finding dates let alone a active soldier.. to be so far away and wrighting back and forth i'v seen to many dear john letters when i was in.. yet alone being here in the states waiting to go at anytime.. don't know if i would .. but then again not many young ladies here online have a hard time dateing a vet .. it seems to me..
