| 2. Is it too old fashioned to have morals? |
 Things have changed greatly in the dating world. I last dated 4 years ago. Now, it is either meet at a bar, have sex, and move on to the next person. Sorry, I can't do that. I am a people person, and want to give my love to a good man, and have that returned. But; I don't know if men our age (in the forties) are looking for decent, loving women to settle down with. Are they?

1.Where do you meet good men...they are all over, mixied in with the ones you don't want to meet
2. It is never old fashion to have morals, your morals define you, stick by them, and you will be the better for it.
Regardless of a mans age...there will be men that want the same as you...there will be men that want a one night stand..there will be liars,cheats, and addicts...there will be men of high moral character..giving men..sweet men. They are all out, all mixed up together...you just need to be very particular to what you want, listen to your inner self, pay attention to red flags...and maybe, you will find just what you want and need.

There are many good men and women on this site.. in this world. None that are perfect.. but many who are good. Some say it's the world that has changed since we were teens and dating. Some say it is us who has done the changing over the years. Perhaps it is a mixture of the two. Personally, I think we have simply made dating much more complicated than it needs to be.

I'm still trying. My Mom says I should try church. My sister goes to country bars, or meets guys thru mutual friends. I wish I knew. I'm trying here to see what happens.  I broadened my search to include guys in their late thirties. I get along better with younger guys.

I doubt I can vouch for what qualifies as a good man seeing as I have been divorce twice.
Give it time, dont wait for them to approach you, and for all you know you already know one, you just never looked at him that way.

Hi, Just because you were divorced twice doesn't automatically make you at fault. Yes, it takes two to tangle. Well, I was married twice, and it did take two to tangle. My husband and his girlfriend. It was his lack of morals. I had to change, and stop being attracted to the same type of male. I strongly believe in myself now, which in turn will help me to trust my instincts. Geeeze? I already posted about this..... all the good men are hibernating in caves until the Spring.... if you could just leave some randomly placed picnic baskets around, you shouldn't have any problems attracting them.....

I have meet several men online one of which I have been dating for about 4 months.
Another good place to meet men is in bookstores with coffee shops at least you know they are somewhat intelligent if they can read.
Your morals define who you are at a very basic level, don't change who you are for anything or anyone.

i've been divorced almost 9 years and i still haven't figured out dating...i don't like bars, all the men in church are married, i work with one man on a daily basis and he's 71 and married... i tried online dating a couple of times...not good experiences..i honestly don't know, but i'd love to hear ideas

i honestly think the best thing to do is be open to it.you can 'meet' somebody almost anywhere.seems like we look sooo hard but sometimes it is right in front of us and we do't even realize.having open eyes and open heart is key.

Specially online and at the gym.
I know that going to those "singles" dance are a blast
I hear there are also singles lunch gathering, singles camping and hiking, singles skiing, singles dance lessons, etc etc.. we have all that stuff here and I'm sure is national as well!
