I have noticed that women have different ideals about seeing tattoos on their g/f. So do you think they are hot or not and why. I personally have 9 and don't mind seeing them on someone I date as long as they are of a decent nature, and have some kind of meaning to them.

I think tattoos are way hot. I have 4 myself including one inside my bottom lip. Mine all have meanings to them. I want the next one on my hip. It is a tribal sign of a woman. This is a tattoo my ex and I thought about getting when we were together. Even though we are not together now, I still like the tattoo and plan on getting it. What do you think about getting tattoos with your gf/partner's name? I personally think a matching tattoo is way better since you are never sure what the future may bring. JMO

I have a small blue butterfly on my left breast. It wasn't done very well, too many needles in the outline on such a small tattoo; it reminds me of a very special time in my life.
A white and lavendar yin-yang symbol on the back of my left shoulder to represent when I finally learned that balance is key to growth. Celtic knotting in the shape of a triangle on the back of my right shoulder to represent my three nieces.
The only one I have a pic of is the knotting:
I've recently shed a lot of weight so the tattoos are shrinking a bit! I want to get this one filled with a light colour. Maybe yellows and reds.

I know what you mean...its either stars, roses, or zodiac signs. all 9 of my tattoos are my designs...nothing off the "walls"...they all have special meanings. I have some posted on my profile. I worked at a tat shop for 8 months...learned alot about them. Though it seemed that most girls get the same kind of tats....the girly type...lol not for me though

I personally have at least 5 tats and like them but one particular though Its a unicorn with the rainbow colors, more or less Kind of designed it myself, I get alot of compliments on it., when I wear shirts with no sleeves. I would like to get more but I have a medical condition that the doctors say it would not be wise to Yeah they are a very good conversation piece. I like unique tattoos, eagles, wolves, dreamcatchers,and unicorns.

I personally will never get a tattoo because I'm terrified of pain but I think they are hot or artistic sometimes. I like it when they are smaller and well done and have some meaning behind it, even if its just a CD cover of your favorite band, it shows who you are. But I think sleeves are taking it a bit to far.

My g/f has about a dozen tattoos and I love them because they are special and have meaning to them all. I have thought about getting one but not sure what are where to get it at. I want to get one and surprise her. I could use some suggestions about where on my body and where to get it done at. My job don't allow them to be seen so I have to be able to cover it easily yet show it off just as easily since I don't want a tattoo and not be able to show it to anyone.

There is a somewhat heavily inked Animal Cop in Philly. I swooned every time she was on TV today. Her name is Betty Sorrel and she is crazy hot. Red hair, dimples, ink (though I'm not crazy about neck tats hers is mostly covered by her hair), rockin' body, smart, fearless, sympathetic but takes no shit.
Not many pictures of her online. Despite being on TV and being my new personal hero (sorry, Clrly, you have been usurped) she must be a bit camera shy or private.

It kinda depends on the person for me. Nothing is hotter than an otherwise innocent girl revealing a tattoo. Such a turn-on. If the person is covered then not so hot. :/
I want to get some of my own. I want to get some sort of flower behind my right ear and possibly a koi fish on my left foot. Still debating.

Any tattoo on your neck or esp behind your ear won't last for very long behind your ear due to more oil in your skin. On your neck is a place you may regret since alot of employers don't allow tattoos. Believe it or not but the top of your foot is very bony and VERY sensitive. It will hurt alot more than perhaps a more meatier place. My suggestion for 1st tattoo is upper arm, calf, thigh, or butt / hip area. Oh and any tattoo on neck area is pretty painful too. JMO

thanks for the advice! and yeah with both tattoos they were going to be very small and only an outline not filled in. and i have thought about the tattoo on my neck possibly showing. but i figured if i do want to go through with it i can wear my hair down or cover it up some other way. or i could always just get it on my hip.
