I prefer he be a morning person. I would hate to have to worry about waking him and tiptoe around until noon for a night person..
Then the other side of that is ..I would want to sleep at night..I don't know how long it would take me to sleep through someone rambling around the house at night..
Or him wanting to go out every single night..I do love home.

I think I want what I want.
I had a conversation with a gentleman yesterday..Very nice man I might add.
He and I are miles and miles apart.
We decided we like out life, while we would like to have someone..we still like out life and at this point in our life it is not worth disrupting it and possible not be as happy as we each are.
 Being honest is important.
I have not met anyone that makes me feel like I could drop some of my life and join him..for that matter, I have not met anyone that I want in my life as I have it.
I don't know if it is because I am set in my ways or not..I don't mind change, but change must improve where I am.

I understand that completely..I had talked many times to a wonderful chap, we both would like to travel the US..however I wanted to do it with my dogs, and he did not want dogs..so choices were made..he is where he is and here I am...
I agree about the truth too..we are not at a point in our lives that we can play games with the future.

I think that what often happens is that we may meet someone who has most, if not all of the qualities we think we may be looking for in the other but we realize that we are entrenched in our routines and lifestyle and find that we are better off having the other as a close friend. That's actually a plus for us as it helps alleviate the loneliness and enhances the quality of our lives.
At our age, we understand that perfection does not exist, but we can still have a wonderful time with the opposite sex, even if it does not turn out to be a romantic relationship. The romance is just a great big "Plus".

bones...thank you so much, you said it so well...I have come to the point exactly where you speak of..it took a while to get there,,especially folks of our generation, it was accepted that we had to be part of a couple..but I like the way you expressed it, thanks
