well as you can tell I am in the army. I have been to Kuwait and Iraq, and I am looking forward to going back to Iraq in about a year. If you want to go to Iraq, and/or afghanistan, get shot at and what not, than go ahead and sign up. I will however warn you that the army as a whole is very backwards and not very smart in the way they do things. The good things however are, you get to do some fun things. It got rid of my mild fear of hights, and my fear of needles. Also if you get hurt, expect a long wait to get fixed as well.

Hey, I'm in the Army.
I'm a recruit, I joined with the thought of going to Iraq to fight, I join and get told I wont be going...
so now I have to find a new reason to even stay in, as far as money, I'm getting screwed out of it.
As far as adventure I'm not going anywhere, This really does suck in my book...
BUT on the patriotic side, I suppot the military fullheartedly, and those that went and still are going...
however, I am glad I made the choice, to serve my country in the only way I can.

Hi Guys,
I just resigned my enlistment papers for another 4 years. I am a Leading Seaman in the Royal Australian Navy. The pride you feel when you suscessfully accomplish your objective will never be matched in civilian world and someone try to tell me different. You enroll with your division and you live with you division. Some on my closest friends were in my division at Military Training. It must be so easy for these civilian scumbags to sit here and say "Oh don't do it. You'll go to Iraq or Afgan. and get shot at it's not worth it." I have one thing to say to you "IT'S THE FU***NG ARMY" If the diggers and troopers didn't put there hand up to do something for their countires in the 1st and 2nd world war you'd be speaking Japaneese or some Chineese slope head shit. How about you stick to judging something you know about.

well i was going to talk you out of it but you seem to have made up your mind.As for SF you to chill out with gung ho shit the dont take guys knocking on the door. Find a good mos like medic or linguest it will only help their needs and you better do well on the asvab 80 at least keep taking it until you leave. They only take smart modest troops.::signcool

I think that you have a good head on your shoulders! and anyone that is willing to do what the military do deserves nothing less then all the support in the world! Do your thing! be proud
