I have been on almost a month now, and I have learned a couple of things:
Good friends and witty conversation are great, but they are no substitute for that special person.
The average height for women is 5'4" not 5'6" as I had thought.
When a woman asks for help, sometimes she is looking for emotional support and not a problem solution. I knew this, but I forgot.
There has got to be something terribly wrong! There are far too many good looking and really nice men and women looking for one another.
I don't understand women. I understand what works, but I have no clue as to why it works.
Women are far more competitive than they let on. Again, I knew this but DHU reminded me. (I feel sorry for the guy that is contemplating polygamy. One is enough!)
Finally, I don't want to be in this same place next Christmas.
There are other things that I could add, but this is enough. What have you learned?

It's Qirki, not Girki! That is some kind of pickle, and I don't relish the idea of being called to a pickle.

Well I've been on about 2 months now and here is what I've learned....

1. Being single isn't as bad as I thought it was...lol
2. Be careful who you trust even if you call them your friend.
3. Distance does matter to me.
4. There isn't much call for "good" men and women...or we wouldn't be on here still looking.
5. Forest Gump was right... "Life IS like a box of chocolates"...and "stupid is as stupid does"...lol
6. 1mt has to be the sweetest man in PA!
7. Many people take this internet thing too serious...Even I do, sometimes!
8. Among my New Year's goals/resolutions you won't find "finding love" as one of em...My goal may be to create the situations to enhance the possibility of meeting someone of interest.

And as Forest Gump would say...

"That's all I have to say about that."

Sorry Pickleman!

Quirky is much better! People were calling me y2 for a while.... that underline messes things up!

Heather, your list is terrific too, but I'd have to say Fritz (nopretense) is the sweetest man in PA, even though I agree that 1mt is wonderful! Must be all that chocolate....

That I am not alone, many others seem to be alone, while not deserving this.

modern women are not the house wives and farm assistants of 100 years ago.

People say they want honesty, but they dont. No one wants to hear this shit. No one wants to hear how a shovanist is trying to become a better man.

1 There are still some very wonderful ppl out there

2 You can have some very good close friends and have never met them in person.

3 There is always hope

4 You still have a chance of finding some one very special

Sure wish now that I lived in Pa. Then maybe I would be on this list of the nicest guy.

aww yer still aces in my book..Way (in a non gay kinda way)

I've learned that I can forgive myself for past wrongs..I was beating myself up over stuff, and a friend here on this site helped me to see that continually beating myself wasn't doing me any good..let go of the past and move forward, ever striving to be better in the next round.

And what Dreamasbossman said..BAM...just when ya think yer destined to be alone for a long time to come..the heavens above drop a wonderful person in your life..and you realize that age and distance are just numbers..if there is a true bonding..we can overcome those little obstacles..

My one New Years resolution is to be able to come back here with a success story.

that every where you look
there is still someone looking back
no matter how many good things you do or do not say
people still think what they want to think
