I would NOT move "just" to "go out" with someone. There would have to be an established relationship, and I'd have to be absolutely in love with them. Then, I would consider moving to BE with them. However, I don't think I would leave California.

MANY THINGS TO BE CONSIDERED,like YOUR JOB, WITH BENEFITS LIKE INSURANCE, 401K plan.
If not giving up those things, at least make a few trips to see how you do in a three day week end environment.

Moving to date someone? No way. Certainly make a few trips but would not move unless it was a connection with the end result being what I wanted. I'm pretty planted though. Lots to consider, took me a long time to find a decent job, house etc. Earlier this year I had no home and no where to go if it were not for a family member because of my ex...some people are just spiteful. I lost 2 homes to this man, now I'm buying one alone..not so sure I'd give up that security. I'm not after anything anyone has but I'm not willing to let go either. Yep I'm doomed to be single.

I check maybe for the right guy because yes I would move if we met and had a on going relationship. That was moving a long nicely and was getting serious enough for me to move. I would never just jump in and move to be next to someone I don't know because it could be Jack the ripper who knows.  JMO

Weird things can and do happen........
I met someone and we both were looking for the same thing.....a compatible sexual relationship with no strings attached (or so I thought). We each traveled a great distance to see each other and were REAL comfortable. I moved in with him as I was a roomy and he had his own place. Then the tides began to turn......I fell in love. He did not.
No matter how things start, they are forever changing. Now he's back out looking for the 'no' strings and I'm heartbroken and in the way.
