We talk about being single for so many years, And How we won't take the bait to get married or get attached again. Or even trust ever again. I mean I am guilty of these things And I will stick by it. I want none of these. But we still go to the dating sites looking for something. Why is that.
I truely am here to meet new friends. But yes I am lonely and would also meet someone to have a bit of passion with also. Yes I am looking for casual incounters. So see I am looking for some sort of companionship, But I don't want serious. So why do you do it. Why dating sites.

I've met a lot of nice people here. I am also on another site and have many people I have talked to with potential dates. I don't want to be alone the rest of my life. "no man is an island"

For me I use the dating sites...as I have no use for the bars, unless a good band is playing, I havent the time to engage in trial and error, and online I dont have to waste time looking. I post a profile and sit back and wait. I do some searching but I'm too picky for my own good. The best part is knowing she's interested. She can flirt or send an interest and if she doesn't like my response, I havent lost any sleep. Its all about the timing of when she and I are acutely aware of each other and find common ground or interests and after talking we find so much more interest and then after dating awhile...whats the next level? NO not marriage. Im done marrying...thats only for medical benefits and insurance. Shack up, share life. Expenses are cut by half...and you still have everything you wanted from a marriage.

Because we have become a society that is detached from one another. We can get anything we need without even leaving our little cocoons. How many of you have kids that text their friends instead of calling? It easier not to be rejected in person? Maybe it is easier to say what we want without being immediately judged.
