I have found that with couples 8 out 10 of the Ladies I know agree with me that when a woman can't sleep she finds something quiet to do such as catch up on emails , read a book ,do some mending etc a man on the other hand seems to think Ok I'm awake so she should be too

Isn't it terrible going to bed reviewing the day and then having to get up because you realized you forgot something on the need to do list?
If that list is complete, then you review what needs to be done tomorrow. When tomorrow is complete, the five year plan is reviewed.
... so happy that list has gotten shorter with retirement and five year plan has become "Whatever will be will be".

even when we ladies do sleep our brains keep working on the problems and find solutions, i have solved a lot of the worlds problems at night only to find by the light of morn that it would be too complicated for man to comprehend..
..most women can multitask with no trouble ,but it not so with the MALE SPECIES..
..even with the most mondane problems that men try to solve,let a pretty young female walk by and they will have to start all over again..
..that is why most things done by males is never solved or completed..
.. still, ladies we manage to overlook their short comings and love them anyway,

nene, What I do is go to sleep and then wake up. Finding the solution to something or the finish of something I did not quite know what to do with.
Like I though of it in my sleep and had to get up to do it. NOW...

Women sleep -- maybe in different stages -- but sleep we do. It's our non-sleep that is caused by consideration of the family unit and their comfort that disturbs our sleep most often.

Organization
The Red Hat Society’s primary purpose is social interaction among women, and to encourage fun, friendship, freedom and fulfillment. The goal is for members to bond as they travel through life together. The Society is not a sorority or a voluntary service club. There are no initiations or fundraising projects.
A founder or leader of a local chapter is usually referred to as a "Queen". Members are called "Red Hatters". Members 50 and over wear red hats and purple attire to all functions. A woman under age 50 may also become a member, but she wears a pink hat and lavender attire to the Society's events until reaching her 50th birthday. She is referred to as a “Pink Hatter.”
There are two ways of belonging to the Red Hat Society: as a Queen (usually leader of a local chapter; however, no Queen is required to lead a chapter) and as a Supporting Member. Membership dues are paid annually to the Red Hat Society.
