I was influenced by the TV series Quincy, M. D. I've always enjoyed science and Quincy always had the hottest young women as girlfriends on ghe show.

I am reminded me of something that took place in High School. I was hanging out with the girl I was seeing at the time and one of her friends said "I can't wait to graduate High School so I can get married. I said "What about College?" She said "College?!?" Like I was offering her the Bubonic Plague. She was also the sister of my brothers friend and she didn't actually get married until almost 20 years later. As John Lennon said "Life is what happens to you while you're making other plans" I think even a woman who wantys only to be a Wife and a Mother needs to get an education and be able to make a good living. After all, no relationship is 100% certain and then what do you do? Even if the marriage works out, what if the man gets injured or sick and is unable to work? What if he dies and leaves you with children to support? What if you marry and have kids and he trades you in on a newer model after 20 years? beachmermaid50 Chandler, AZ age: 54	i used to want to be a flight attendant then it occurred to me that something else might prove to be a better choice, so after being an exchange student in Mexico at the age of 19, i switched to seeking an undergrad degree in Spanish. Did not work out as well as I would have thought, but then a master's degree in Elem, Ed became the plan. Was able to raise my two sons with the wonderful enhancement the education gave me as a mother at home. Would not change it for the world and feel incredibly fortunate to have been able to do this. I do, from time to time wish I could have had a career to influence the lives of children as a kindergarten teacher. Now, my allergies prevent me from working with children like I would like to. You ought to look into going back to school, there are alot of Grant programs out there now, especially for Single Moms. Actually, your practical experience in dealing with children would make you more effective than if you had gone to College right after High School and taught school without having had chilfren of your own yet. If you still want to, go for it.
