I was disturbed to sign into one of my PRIVATE instant messaging services, and find an offline message waiting for me from someone on this site. The person is not someone I've ever corresponded with on here, nor do I have ANY of my personal email/instant messaging information listed ANYWHERE on this site. I have absolutely no tolerance for predatory behavior, regardless if this is a dating website or not. To me, this was completely out of line.
Has anyone else had similar issues after becoming a member of this site?

Yes, it is disgusting. To know that someone has taken the time to hunt me down and figure out my personal contact info, is disturbing. They never even tried to correspond with me through this site beforehand.

I am not sure how it works,but,when I get an email here,it notifys me on my email at Yahoo.
Could be a scammer too, they are very smart.

Try a FIREWALL it gives the spammers a little  but doesn't stop them. It's what they do...

Yes I've had that happen b4 too.. I've gotten on line and had emails from women claiming to be from here that I've never talked to, and offline messages waiting also.
It is disturbing that they can somehow find out this information, and I can see how it would be even more disturbing for a woman.
As someone who has actually had a stalker from a dating site (not this one) it's no fun and something the authorities don't take too seriously.
I have talked a couple of them that did that just to try and find out how they came up with my information and the 2 that I did talk to were claiming to be in Africa ....and eventually it came out they wanted help (money) to get back to the states

No problems here any more, have learned how to use the
delete button and use it all the time. Don't go to any of
those sites.

I wouldn't worry 'bout as it'z only the nature of the beast. They don't really know ya. Everythin' is 4 sale. If you eva make a donation you can expect 2 hear from a lot of charitiez wantin' a donation. They sell listz n ya can look @ it n see how much n 2 whom.
Profeesor, you can turn that e-mail alert off if ya so a mind.

Unfortuntately the delete button was not applicable in this case. This person left a message for me on my personal instant messaging device. He never even bothered to contact me on here first. His messenger name and his name on this site are one in the same. When he left his message, he told me he found me on this site, so I took a chance and looked him up under the name he used on the messenger, and bingo... He uses the same name for both. Regardless, it's unacceptable that anyone cross a line from making contact with me on a site where it's proper, to tracking me down by means of guesswork, through my personal accounts. It's stalkerish, and it's not right. I respect other peoples' personal space, and I expect the same in return. I don't think it's asking for much.

ANYTIME....you feel you're being stalked...report it to the webmaster of the site. Makes no difference...male or female. Dont need predators/stalkers on good sites pestering good people. Its also criminal. The more we report this type of behavior the more we attract good people to the site. Opportunity for that special someone comes only once, don't let it pass you or someone else on this site.
