It is a toss up between the 60's and 70's. (excluding disco, that just s*cked)
The 60's rock in roll came into it's own and set the foundation for the later decades.
Now the 70's gave us the hair bands and saw the birth of Heavy Metal. country music started to take on a new life with the introduction of a more contemporary sound.

The 70's for sure- The 80's were OK, but music moved to the video/MTV generation, so the pure songwriters got moved out in favor of the flashier bands.
OP- FYI Piano man was written in 1973 and Go your own way was written in 1975.
Faithfully was the only song you listed that was actually from the 80's. (1983)
I'm sure you think I am picking on you, but whatever- You just need to know that your favorite hits from the "80's" had been around for a decade by then.
