Our bodies (men's and woman's) generally plateau after 6-8 weeks of new activity, This is where most people start to lose interest in working out or maintaining this new activity level. Which is really too bad because in about 4-5 weeks you will start losing inches maybe not pounds keeping in mind your weight isn't the best way to set a goal for yourself. You might end up weighing 118 and thats alright since muscle weighs more then fat but actually drop 2-3 dress sizes in a matter of 6-8 months. (As a side note I wish people epically woman would just get over that number and focus on losing an inch or what they put into the bodies; our bodies don't use the energy it makes very efficiently which really allows us to eat bad and still not look badly) A good way to add extra activity is to put the kids to bed leave them with dad and just go for walks at night start by rounding the block a few times getting your body used to it if you need to. Then set a time 15-20 mins then push that to 30-45 mins but push yourself see how much ground you can cover over a period of time vs I did my token 5 laps around the block at a leisurely pace talking smack about our jobs, men, or whatever else, with the neighbor woman. Its good to have a partner to help you through the phase of working out it sounds like your in, but excellent to have a partner who is as driven as you are or better yet more then you are with the same goal!! Who doesn't want to get back to the azz you had when you were 22-3 anyway? For yourself not to get your hubby to roll of the couch and notice you again (which could be a bonus) Doing something just for you, I know its novel....LOL
Using myself as an example I had gotten up to 208 which isn't bad for a guy who is 5 11" but I wasn't happy with it; I have been working out for 6 months now and have only sustained a lost of 6-7 lbs but I have dropped 2 inches and as soon as the girl scout cookies are gone which shouldn't be much longer since I am eating about a box a day (there so good) I will lose another 1-2 inches by the end of the year. My point with the cookies being you don't even have to cut all the stuff you like or even limit all of your portions provided you are keep that in mind (healthy way) when you are pushing to see how much ground you can cover or you are in the gym doing an extra set. An extra 5 mins of pushing yourself to enjoy a box of Samoas a day I'm totally OK with that!!
Hope my humble view helps you get there!!
One more thing to keep in mind is just having a little more muscle on your body burns more calories while doing your normal daily activies as well..

Exercise more, but change the exercises, so you work different muscles.
