I have been hurt as deeply as most anyone else but I have no fear about any of this! Maybe I just handle the hurt differently than most But then again, I have been diorced a very long time and no regrets

when I first started dating again it was a little, no, make that a lot, scary, hadn't been on a first date in almost 30 years. now it doesn't scare me any more after almost a year - i just relax and enjoy the company and the evening. even if there's no spark i've made a new friend which is the case with all but one i've been out with. i've been seeing 'the spark' for about 3 months now - a very nice guy that i'm very fond of. so the point i'm trying to make is just relax, be yourself, and enjoy yourself. just as at 15, not every one is 'the one' - but that doesn't mean you can't have a good time getting to know them and becoming friends.

I am new to this site, I have been on 2 dates from another. I really like the way we can discuss things and I am hoping this will help to make me more comfortable with the current dating scene. It is a lot different then when I dated and married at 17. I have been single for 22 years, and raised my girls. So I figure now it's my turn. The 2 dates didnt work out, but I still have hope and plan to enjoy myself. But yes, it is still a little scary to me.

goofynurse you and I have alot in common besides MO. I have been single that long too. But I have dated in those years. My son's even set me up on them.
But it is a new world now you meet online instead of bars. Which I think it is better. But as you search there is nothing wrong with winking at a man or dropping them a note. When I am searching even if not in my area and I see a profile I think is good I will even e mail them and tell them. Don't limit yourself if nothing is holding you back.

I have had dates in the past couple of weeks with 2 different men. That is more dating than I have done in 3 yrs.. and they both live in town. They both just sorta popped up. I got asked out again this evening by someone else. Great... I suddenly start getting asked out and don't have time for it right now
