I started thinking about this when I saw people counting how many people they've been with, and I tried adding my total up as well. I noticed that I've dated 3 Nicole's, 3 Elizabeth's, and 4 Sara's. Does anyone else notice a pattern like this? Do you think something as small as a name can attract you? Or is our generation just very generic when it comes to naming their kids? I'm curious.

I try to not date the same name. Usually it comes with bad memories. I wish someone decent would come along, I'm running a little low on options.

I dont think there is anything to do with names other then a TON of uncreative people and generations upon generations that all name their kids the same because its whats Popular that year. In my town alone I know 15 different Jason's who are all within a few years. It was a VERY popular name in the early 80's and then came back around in the 90's.

Nope... Never dated the same name twice.
Then again I haven't dated that many women either. I try to find a good one and hold on to her.

I've dated a LOT of John's or Jon's, a lot of "J" names in general: Josh, Jason, Jack (nickname for John, he wasn't actually named Jack). Dated a few Mike's, one Nick, a handful of Chris's and two Eric's. It is rather odd.

I know a man who has been married to three women all named a Mary and all with red hair.
My second husband was married to a woman named Karen before me, and another man I used to date, his first wife's name was Karen.

I was going to say the same thing about the topic starter too.
