I recieved a question the other day ,by two people in similar terms, and wanted to share it with you on this site.
Question
I do not understand your comfort to express yourself in the area of sex so openly and not feel like it is wrong? I have read post where you talked about being a missionary and seem to be a nice Christian man. What part of you is the lie?
I am posting this question that has been asked of me as an oppertunity to talk about sex and God. I like that topic and I think when sex and God (or spirituality) are co-existing in our relationships they will be great.
First I want to share my understanding of God. I think God is talking to each of us personally in whatever language we will hear him in. Some hear music and have the understanding of God. Some spend time in nature and feel his love and beauty all around them. Some read the New Testament and are as excited by it as if they were reading instruction manual. Others read a poem and fall in love with God.
I have come to understand God in a way that is love and nothing else. I feel that in every sentence that uses either God or love they should be interchangeable. God is love and nothing else is real. By that I mean anything that is not love is something we made up in our head. Like our occasional misunderstandings on the forum. I expect only love from everyone and if I get something different I think it is a cry for love.
I share this so you have an idea of where I am at with God.
As for sex, God invented it and made it pleasurable. Society changes what sex means whenever they want, but I think God intended it to be about Love. I have stated on the forum that I have only had sex without love three times in my life and they were not memories I like to keep around. I am sexual and sensual always but have sex very selectively. That is why I have taken up massage it is intimate but does not have to lead to sex.
The church uses guilt to control people in many ways. The Catholics live in fear and yet can do anything and can be forgiven immediately. Guilt is a game of control and not loving, therefore guilt is not of God it is in our head.
In the highlands of Papua New Guinea sex is not a big deal, neither is nudity. Whole families live in one hut and sex is part of loving a spouse and making babies. It is not dirty there unless they have seen our TV and began to think like we do.
As for my comfort discussing sex I hope I would be comfortable talking about anything that could help someone understand something that would help his or her life. There are just not too many topics about hemorrhoids, flatulence, earwax, sexual abuse, suicide, depression or hair loss.

I do enjoy the pots you decide to stir up. IMHO sex was created by God for more than one reason, and probably for some that I haven't thought of. Making babies and expanding the human race is the easy answer, but I think it also serves as a way for two people to connect, no pun intended, on a deeper physical level, as well as on a spiritual level. Did I say two people, maybe more than two. Making love is an individual expression of God's love between consenting adults. If you dig through all of the societal hangups and can see past all that, you can have an amazing experience. If you can let the God in you love the God in your partner, hooboy, now were dancing! I believe that all things come from God, or whatever name is comfortable to each person. And, all things will return to God. This includes sex.
