How many of you have gotten an e-mail from someone wanting to chat. Even to go as far to be interested in you...so they say.They say...:I would like to get to know you. You seem like a nice person. But here we go...here is my chat address whatever it may be andlets chat there. Well I dont give that freely because it includes my E-mail address. So when I respectfully decline they delete themselves. Maybe I'm cynical (noooooo not meeeeeeeee)I tend to wonder if there was an alterior motive in the works. Any opinions??? Just curious.

I have gotten quite a few of those and you are right I assume that the majority of them are spam or sites that want your email address which is not too hard to figure out once they have your messenger name.
Here is the other thing I got for a while, guys emailing me with clearly copied and pasted profiles that didn't make much sense when you read the whole thing. Once upon a boring evening I answered back and sure enough soon I came to find out that the person was working 'out of the country' and some other BS that lead to wanting my regular email address.

It is a scammer, most likely from Nigeria, but not always. I don't use any other chat program other than what is provided on here. Also when I have received these emails and check out the profile they look like a model - no one is that good looking!!

I've received quite a few of these. They're easy to spot: usually no profile picture and an "about me" section littered with such poor grammar that it could not possibly have been written by anyone with a basic command of the English language! I delete them on sight.

But after sifting thru the misspelled words and the broken English, my little "spam" detector came on. Don't get me wrong, because you are all deserving of it, but the emails telling you of how wonderful it would be to meet...all the things you have in common....you are the perfect soulmate....blah,blah,blah...you're not the only one that gets them. It takes time to trust someone you're going to meeet up close and personal. I'm rambling on now, but I think you know me well enough to know what I'm trying to say. well I was kind of leary when she looked like a playboy centerfold,and 15 years younger than me,and not to mention at least 150 miles from me, and wanted to talk to me !! I think the wanted to talk to me part set it off!!! LOL Not that I'm not deserving of a playboy model(hint hint hint) to all you models out there. But there comes a time in your life when you got to be honest with yourself...really me...and alot of distance between us....and a knock out...sometin aint right

It's definitely a scammer. They create an account, then spam every guy or women they can in hopes of finding one they can scam for cash. They delete there accounts right after spamming dozens, even 100's of people so the IP address they sign up from doesn't get scene and they can use it again another time.
I've been online for 12 years and it never ceases to amaze me on how many sites and ways scammers can find to rip people off. I did a report for a college class this past winter semester on "Internet crime" and the scam called "419 Nigerian fraud" is the most profitable for the scammers. It's been around in various forms since before the Internet. Not all all scams of this type originate from Nigeria. Many are ran by people here in the states and Europe. They're called "419 Nigerian fraud" because the first scams of this type had originated out of Nigeria.
I recommend everyone read up on different Internet crime so you know what to watch out for.

Bob your not alone with this I have goten them as well and like they said there is no guy that is that hot lookin that is 1000's miles away that I would talk to. They are all fishy to me. I think you made the right choice about your playboy lady you just might have to settle for the pics on the calendar or a magizen wouldnt want a nice guy like you to get hurt

I find it aggravating...they want you to call them, or they'll give you their number, email address IM messenger ID, or whatever else. I rather exchange messages on the site..and, if there is someone who I am interested in and vice versa, and they are consistant, then maybe I'll take a bigger step up. Until then...we'll just remain "friends" on here. Just me being safe than sorry!

I was chatting with someone, good looking, not total model type, but wasn't bad, then one day when we started chatting it was not the same pic, the guy was bald and short. I brought it to his attention and he said he buzzed his hair and then the next time it was the pic he started with...I felt really stupid! Be careful because they do not give up easy...of course who wouldn't want some of this

If you have a camera on your cell phone...you can send it to your e-mail....took me a while to figure it out but thats what I did and I'm a caveman when it comes to computer shit. I have a auto timer on my phone also...those are all from my phone.
