#4 kindhearted …….
I look to the heart of the person no matter what is showing on the outside. I’ve known men that show anything but kind but when you get to know the REAL heart they have more heart and soul than you could possibly imagine.
And because of his deep down kindness he’s have some of the other qualities like intelligence, integrity and attentiveness.
Just my experience.

There is Intelligence and common sense.
I'll take common sense over intelligence. Some intelligent people can be real butts.
It was too late to edit my other post as some Kindhearted are not intelligent. I guess that tells you I'm not a 'not a smart woman' (said like Forest Gump)

I agree with you 100%, but may I add a word or two? tyvm
Ah, but a truly intelligent individual will not feel the need to be a butt. They will be secure within themselves. I agree, there are some that think because the have a degree, they need to lord it over those that do not. Common sense can correlate very nicely with intelligence and is a very good attribute. There are countless numbers of both men and women that have earned their degree at the school of Hardnocks. Education at a Univercity does not always mean someone is intelligent. I'm jus sayin' is all....

Intelligence for me as well - intelligence followed by humor and integrity. I agree with Shaggy - the kind of intelligence I find attractive does not come always from a degree, but from learning lessons as life as happened.

Intelligence is top of my list because like another said, if they're truly intelligent, the rest is sure to follow. Book learning intelligence ain't what I'm talking about either. I've worked with lots of college educated folks that didn't have enough common sense to get in outta the rain...emotional intelligence is a biggy and if it's not present, I'm not either.

Aw there's a lot to be said for most of these answers. Most of us love a sense of humor. I believe anyone who has read the forums in DH can agree not everyone with a great sense of humor is a nice person. I known people who haven't received a high school education, who are extremely intelligent. I also know more than a couple of people who have a masters degree, who I wouldn't want to be my "contact" person in an emergency. I'd say Integrity, hopefully some of the other qualities fall into place with that pick.

Hi
i thought of putting "intelligence / education" the reason i didn't is because my ex had a PhD.but he was soooooooo underdeveloped spiritually, emotionally, relationship attentiveness, socially... i mean ALL he had was education, but in areas aside from acadamia he was very remedial.
That's why i listed JUST Intelligence instead of Intelligence / Education.
i put emotional intelligence as 'ATTENTIVE',
because i think you have to be somewhat emotionally developed
to apply attentiveness and care what others are feeling.
i tried my best folks.

At the top of my list is Integrity. I have actually had all of the other things ia a mate before. Unfortunately, integrity issues, or should I say lack of integrity, killed the relationship.
All of the other things are surely important too. The OP did a good job on this one.

1. "Intelligence", is a must though the kind of which is debatable.
2. "Great Sense of Humor" certainly helps especially when it’s palatable.
3. "Integrity," puts one at ease and this is hardly combatable.
4. "Kindhearted" though, is truly fine and helps to make one contactable.
5. "Spiritual" people that truly are, have egos not so inflatable.
6. "Attentiveness", with all the above, now that would be nearly unattainable

granted, not impossible, but to what level??, THAT'S the key. lol
i mean, some may be very evolved in one Quality yet have just a smidgeon of another
quality,
but to have ALL of the ABOVE Qualities be VERY Evolved .. now that's a rarity.

problem is there isn't too much quality that stands out for the taking for either sex--more quantity...when we get to this age group--quantity has passed on or still married...all the best quality are happy until the fat lady sings...quality is something that stands out and makes you complete...quantity doesn't cut it...maybe that's why we are all here hoping that the next contestant is the one...
my examples are quality = who's availabe because everyone has something to offer the other
quantity is someone else's former partner
i took my post another way--there is no quality until you find the right person..and it may never happen too...

Honesty wasn't on the list or it would have been my first choice. So I will go with integrity. It goes somewhat hand in hand with honesty. You can be dumb as a box of rocks or a rocket scientist, but if you arent' honest and have good morals, I can't deal with you. Some people have a quirky sense of humor, some are very dry so that holds little relevance with me. Kindhearted is not a word that comes to mind when I think about men, I see it more in women. Spiritual doesn't spell Christian so spiritual means nothing to me. Attentive - well if he isn't - there is someone out there who will be sooo....
Those are just my thoughts on the subject.
