Ok heres the thing if the illness were something like depression and the person you were interested in was unstable , Id say no , drinks to much another no , sends up red flags in general another no, just an illness you cant get otherwise I think it would be ok if you both agreed on it and your both ok with it otherwise why not ,as long as he has no fever and is not thowing up .

It may suprise you that alcohol is not a main contributing factor, such as obesity. Sometimes it just appears.

It would depend on the illness. I know someone who is ill and I am quite fond of her. I don't see her illness, but I don't ignore it either. I choose to care around it when possible, and right through it when she needs me to.

i would think it would depend on the illness and what stage it's in. most illnesses would not affect my decision though.

It depends on the person and the illness, and moreso how they personally handle it. Who or what is in more control, them or the illness.
Take bipolar for example. You either control it or it controls you. You control it by treating it and applying lifestyle that allows you to control it.
I'm more concerned that someone takes care of themselves than the illness alone.
So, kidney disease. Do you own it or does it own you (most of the time). That's realizing that you won't be on top every day. But do you stop living altogether and spend your days going: "Woe is me"? That makes all difference in the world.

It would depend on the illness, and symptoms, As for kidney disease, if it were mostly a problem for them-via pain, etc-I could deal with that. If it caused them to wet themsleves, anyone nearby, etc, that could prove bothersome. If it meant they cound't eat/drink most things, so dining out was a no-go, that might get tiresome after a time. Non-contagious ailments are usually negotiable; within limits. Each case is taken on it's owm merits, or lack thereof.

It would depend on how it would affect the quality of life for both of us. If we would be restricted in what we could do, or where we could go. Some things I could live with, some I could not.

**High blood pressure causes another 30% of all kidney disease.
**Long-term use of medicines such as non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as ibuprofen (Advil), celecoxib (Celebrex), and certain antibiotics and I beleive we can add now Tylenol, I read something on that recently.
and yes.. your right many are alcohol related, but there are many other ones too than we realize.
