Every year I remember the Priest that ran around to all the brave brothers and sisters and held them while they lay dying......
Giving comfort and last rites......
He gave his all.....
His heart and soul gave out, and he, allthough knowing this, continued on

Windy Thank you for this post i was going to do one tomorrow but this will do just fine. To all who have lost someone here or else where from a terrorist or terrorist faction my prayers are with you. To all my comrades still fighting today against such individuals i say thank you. To all my comrades in arms lost in this fight i say God Bless You. We as mere Warriors who only fought for the guy beside us salute are fallen friends this day. I miss my friends each and every day.
To those who heard the last Siren Call tell my Dad hello i know he's with you sipping coffee and talkn' about the good ole days as sirens sounded and the bells kicked in

on the right is a dear friend...he was hand selected to ride one of the Harley's that were donated to the NYC police dept. by the York Harley Davidson plant. This pic was signed by Rudy Gulianni, lower right hand corner. His words regarding his experience...."Was honored to do my part. It is something that will live within me forever"

To the ones who died and their families, I tip my hat and say a prayer.
To the survivors, I pray that God gives you peace and comfort.
To the nation, I pray that we stand strong.

Just came from a local 9-11 ceremony at a suburban fire department. I still get choked up at the enormous effect that 9-11 has had on our country and all emergency responders.

like is said in another thread i was in manhatten on 9/11/2001 and will never forget standing just inside the convention center we all heard the first plane hit then with everyone out side in disbelief the second one hit i cant go and describe the fear and terror in many locals faces and eyes that day but i will forever tip my hat to the fallen heros that day the firefighters who gave thier lives trying to save others. My oldest brother who i have always looked up to is a fire chief here in mississippi and i have always feard the day i get the call saying he died while doing what he so loved to do saving others. 9-11 is a day i dont think any true american will ever forget nor should day. however i still try to erase the picture in my mind of that 2nd plane hitting the tower and know i never will.
