"The Park Bench..."
There he sat in his tattered clothes
sitting on the park bench that was
solely reserved for him and his friends.
There they gathered all around, surrounding him!
Each one frantically vying for his attention,
Squirrels, chipmunks and birds alike
milling around chittering and cooing
patiently waiting for a morsel of bread
to be tossed their way!
I watch the old man's face
weathered and worn from years of lifes' experiences...
Some of them good ones, others that were not.
I know he sits there everyday about this time,
ready to meet with his adoring fans
who know not of his past,
but of the ever present now?
I watch his face light up in anticipation
of their arrivals...
And am glad that he's happy at least for now.
I only wish things could have turned out differently...
Then he would have known me...
And then perhaps we~
My father and I~
Could have been sharing that park bench together...

I liked this piece as well, strong ending that leads you back to reading it through again and ties to emotional regrets beyond the subject matter of the writing.

Thanks Mercsman... Well, it seems that "Uncle Sam is indeed watching us..." That was the 2nd time in this month it had happened... I was formerly Felineitty--then Im_Felineitty, and it's because I've posted some things on here on other forums -Current Events I think--political-- of videos from Youtube about the "New World Order" that Bush Sr. himself talked about, and some others... Other people have also posted things from that site also, so why was I singled out???
I have also posted these kind of things on my Facebook page, having to do with our corrupt government and what is going on... Check out Youtube under THE NEW WORLD ORDER, & FEMA COFFIN LINERS, & END GAME, & CHEMTRAILS... BUT you need to have an open mind and not be closeminded about this, but it will open your eyes... Oh, also ILLUMINATI... Seriously Merc... I am running my laptop in "SAFEMODE" now because I got pop ups one right after the other staing that I had a virus and that my firewall was not on (it was!) and that if I didn't "rectify" the situation--stop sending SPAM--(they were videos from Youtube!) that my internet would be SHUT DOWN and that the POLICE would be notified! I kid you not. A friend of mine is having almost the same problems I have... So, another words, we HAVE freedom of speech, AS LONG AS YOU DON'T SPEAK OUT AGAINST THE (corrupt) GOVERNMENT

Question is......why???? this is the 2nd time... And when it 1st happened with Felineitty, when I went into seach and punched in my name, it said it was deleted... So I assumed the same thing happened... Someone flagged me and I got booted off.... Freedom of speech my ass...yeah just as long as you don't speak about out corrupt government...

your first one probably got deleted when mine did, they deleted 27 ppl all in the same day, because they were testing the system..
now they usually give you a few days suspension, and it's because someone flagged you as inappropriate...
why? I have no idea. Maybe you were vulgar, or maybe you had 2 different accounts.
