thought i'd add prospect to the list. we get alot of news coverage because of the scioto frooding every time you turn around. i've lived in denver, and tucson and it was just too busy. prospect is like cheers, everybody knows your name.

Hi everyone I am from a small town called Jackson.... and scariest part is it is the town all the surrounding towns come to for excitement...lolol
Our idea of a friday night out on the town is grabbing mickey dees on the way to wally world.....
But the scariest thing is the town i lived in before Jackson... A small town in KY across the river from Portsmouth Ohio....
It had one grocerymart... OK oK OK it was more like the bottom floor of somones house they converted into a small store and sold things at 3Xs their regualar price...
Our mail... Ever seen the waltons? where everyone goes into the post office and asks if ya got mail... yup our mail was General Delivery and all went to this little closet room off side someone elses home....lol We had a potbelly wood stove where we all crowded around to gossip... and as the room would barely fit 4 people dont know how we did it....
We'd say hi to the post mistress and be handed our mail.. there were no boxes no house numbers no keys...lololol total waltons mountain I tell you....And dont yuou dare be in a rush to get your mail.. it always took minimum of half hour to get all the latest news
We had a volunteer fire department where everyone was a member of. And one cemetary where nothing ever got tore up or destroyed and kids actualy volunteered to clean and mow....
In this town of maybe 700.. and thats probably counting the dogs cats and flies... everyone was either related to someone else or their spouse was related to them...lolol
Our glory moment was when WSAZ news actually featured our small town on the news...lolol
Oh and mode of transportation in this town... horses, four wheelers.. or your feet..... Unless of course you had a car without a muffler then that was definately always used...lol

I live in greensburg ohio. We like it small but they are trying to make it into the city of green. Come now, leave us country people alone with 1 fire staion and a small post office

I live in Bethesda Ohio. One small market, gas station and the VFW. We don't even have a red light. Hey Slogoin I was in Marietta last weekend it is a beautiful town.
