Again, good responses.
-gammatx - It is your hair so it cannot be bad. It can be wet but it cannot be bad.
-twtruck - I hear you dude! If you quit doing this when operating them levers on that roll back, you might have some.

Evidence in support of this thread - see boricualady
Our very own thread contributor - fishingmtgirl - [changed her primary pic recently] makes a strong case for tastefully done, too.
All comments welcome.

LOL Hyro, thanks, I think you are referring to several of my pics but this one by far is my favorite.
By the way thats ProStyle gel that dries looking wet and does not flake at all. The gel itself is dark brown in color and gives your hair an all over even look in color. Holds all day. Best stuff out there since sliced bread. It comes in black tubs with a white top ladies but I wouldn't recommend it for white girl hair (unless you're going for that slicked back flat to the head look), being Puerto Rican and Cuban my hair is naturally curly and it's taken me years to finally learn how to not only control it but to have people say, "Wow, you have gorgeous hair". If you see my hair down its using ProStyle. If you see it back in a ponytail that's any type of hair food conditioner. Also not greasy or dripping and has a pleasant fragrance as well as being healthy for your hair (lots of Vit. E and other good stuff in there)
Funny thread Hyro thanks for the compliment hun!

Wow... that IS a great look for you boricualady... very nice indeed!
And yes, the overwhelming majority of the time, the wet hair look (or just the "wet" look) is very hot...

Awwww... Thanks Cawy, I decided to let my hair grow out to one length around age 30 and a friend of mine introduced me to that gel. Once my hair got long enough to wear it down like that I began to have a lot of fun with it. Sometimes sweeping it over to one side, etc. I definately get a whole lot more head turns and stares when I wear my hair down!! LOL

Surch it depends on what type of gel or mousse that is used. Some do look quite oily and feel that way too. I use one that makes my hair look glossy and healthy rather than oily and overly shiny. My hair is still wet in the photos on my profile but the gel dries rather quickly and the hair stays put, it just loses that overly shiny look after it dries. It's all in what you put on your hair and what works for you.

Darlene,
It`s a good thing your face is pretty because you can easily pull it off. I don`t like the (gel) wet hair look on men ESPECIALLY. I should have been more specific (sorry)!

I think wet hair on a woman is very sexy. It reminds me of being at the pool or in the shower, even in a hottub.

Thanks Surch that was very kind of you to say! I have to admit I don't particularly care for the wet look on men. Very few can pull it off and even then it looks to GQ or preppy for me. To each his own I guess!

When I posted the wet look when I first joined DH, it was to show what I do look like on most natural day with no make up. Make up can really disguise oneself. I have a friend that looks awesome with make up but we both laugh if she doesn't have it on. Even she won't leave the house if she doesn't have it, very ghostly. I was just showing I have nothing to hide. Whether it is bad or good. Your choice.
There is no gel, or anything. This is right after a bath, there is a tank top right underneath, just can't see it with my hair.
