There's nothing wrong with a mac that installing windows won't fix and anyway they're running on Intel processors (JK). A mac is a fine machine, but I wouldn't want to have to take the trouble of learning a new operating system. Even tho the apple OS is supposedly easy to learn, it would still be a new operating system to me and I know windows inside and out. I can sit down at 92% of the computers in America, feel right at home and start working.

why did the retard buy a mac?? thats a dumb question because all mac users are retarded!!........ Why do mac users love thier computer? because they can't find the on button to hate it yet. LMAO
Honestly i can use and fix either and while they supposedly never get virus' or spyware that "Plague PC's" when they do, they crash and there is no fix and with all the stuff macs are using from pcs now its only a matter of time before they convert to becoming a full pc. Save yourself the trouble and convert now

Just for the record, Intel-based Macs from 2006 forward (with very few early exceptions) will run XP or Vista in native mode right out of the box, no emulation or virtual machine required. Check out the link for full details...
http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/bootcamp.html
Also, to clarify some misconceptions about Macs and viruses, there is nothing inherently virus-proof about the Mac OSes. The reason that Macs appear to be virus free is that few of the bad guys are writing their code against Macs, they are instead writing them for the largest possible targets, the 92% or so of the population of computers out there; i.e., Intel based PCs running a Microsoft OS.
Remember to practice safe computing!!

I really don't understand why someone would buy an Apple/Mac then load XP or Vista on it. Save a bunch of money and buy a PC.

I wasn't suggesting running running Windows on a Mac as standard procedure. There are some of us who have to use a Mac for work but prefer Windows for other uses. Why carry two machines when one will do...

why not just do away with the Mac?? I mean you already have all the parts inside for a Pc (except a decent video card) instead of paying for the shiny white mac just get a pc. case and point that macs are crap check out the macbook air. I mean yeah solid state drive is cool, but come on really? I can't have a DVD drive without it being seperate? why not just get the new sony vaio which is smaller, cheaper, and has the dvd drive,a/g/n card, and full size keyboard. Thanks for clarifing about the macs running windows though its nice to see steve jobs is a sell out too.

Why not do away with all Windows based systems. I mean Windows is such an inferior OS there's no comparison. All that Vista tries to be is a bad copy of Mac OS 10.3 And XP? Obsolete and bloated within a year of it's release.

It doesn't really matter what OS you buy. There are good and bad about all of them. Usually you just use the one that you learned on. I like Macs and PCs.
