Except it has been very dry, drought conditions prevail.

Trish, are you driving?. How about stopping in VA on the way back?.

If anybody out their from the Erie area ever comes to Virginia, I could use a van load of Troyer Farms Potatoe Chips, Cheese Puffs, Pretzels etc. Nothing better than a North Western PA potatoe chip. And, no one can eat just one.

I also live here in the Steel City(Pgh.). It had been mild late in 07, but I think it has caught up to us, although nothing really significant. We have been having snow storms totaling an inch or two(more North and East of us). It is supposed to get milder next week. Many here are tired of the white stuff. I'm not quite sure that I'm in that catagory yet, but it appears that Phil(groundhog) was right about 6 more weeks.

I agree with the viewpoint of "weird". We've had 29 snow events, today was 60-something, but tomorrow is 30-something with snow in the forecast.

I have windows open right now, and could hear robins calling to each other at sunset. That was a nice reminder that spring is on the way -- it is March.

But we all know what March in MO can be --weird!!

Short sleeves and sandals today -- winter coat and gloves tomorrow!

Its been warmer than usual overall, but there were a couple of frigid cold spells, and a lot of alternating warm and cold days... not good for a lot of older people, lots of sickness going around here.

Hi Suzy - it's been especially cold and a LOT snowy here. On the news last night it was said this has been the second snowiest Feb since records have been kept.

Today was fabulous - 68 degrees and sunny = it felt just so good to be outside. But it was just a tease.....

Tomorrow night we are expecting 3 to 5" more snow

Well everyone its monday 03 and we got high winds and lots of rain here in LA. Yesterday was beautifull, sunny and warm. Ran the air conditioner all day and night. It's suppose to turn cold with ice again by the weekend so I am told.

Never know what to take out to wear to work the next day and alternate between my boxer shorts and footie jamam's at night! ARGGGGGGGGG

Blessings to All,

Suzy

It has been especially cold and snowy to be honest, so if there was ever a time for hibernation it's been this winter in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. There was actually one fairly recent winter that was considered worse as far as the amount of snow that fell at one time goes (1998).

The mayor actually called in the armed forces to help which did tend to make him the object of much derision -- although the snow indeed got cleared. That winter, however, I was in far better health and having been born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, I was of the opinion "Snow? What snow?"

So being the type who can never resist even an implied dare, I walked thru it and took a little trip down to the Ontario parliament buildings. Stood on the lawn, made the sign of the cross (I'm Catholic), and went back to bed.

There is no category for ice, ice and more ice.....yes, today we got heavy rain, then sleet, no real freezing rain this time, but the potential of 5 to 9 inches of snow tonight and tomorrow. Yesterday it was 74 and sunny, go figure. If you don't like the weather in MO, wait 5 minutes. This has been the worst year for ice for us though. Only 5 inches of snow for the whole winter until now. March is typically our heaviest snow month. At least it melts as quick as it comes in March.

Girl, I hope you have nice weather ordered for next week. I will be in LA Saturday. I really didn't know how to pack so have way too many clothes. taking some of everything.
