What type of bike do you have? If it's a Harley, you could join the Harley Owners Group, Johnstown Chapter. They have meetings every month, the 2nd Thursday at Anthony's restuarant. If you are a Moose Member or associate, you can join the Moose Rider's. I know that there is one in Windber, where I live. If you are associated with the American Legion, you can join the Richland American Legion riders club. All of these are a lot easier to join, than to start your own, but, if you just want to become friends with people who ride, then chat with a few. Myself, I ride an 07 Harley Street Glide.

I'm from the Johnstown area, I don't have a Harley but I love riding on motorcycles. I love the Dog Run and Thunder in the Valley. My son has a 1100 Suzuki and takes me for rides.

If you want to join the Harley group, you'll need a Harley. However, if you are a Moose member, then all you would need is a motorcycle that is at least 250cc's. Same holds true for the American Legion Riders...being a member or associate member and having a bike of 250cc's or bigger, any model any year, any make.

To thegronk...It's amazing how some people tend to bring themselves up by putting others down. Not everyone wants a motorcycle that gets 10 mpg or has a V-8 engine in it, and I'd bet you a sawbuck, that My Harley is not only less common than your Boss Hoss, it's a one of a kind. Don't believe me? See how many 2007 Patriot Special Edition, Street Glide, with the U.S. Air Force Crest on it you come across over the next year or so. Only 320 Patriot Edition motorycles were made by Harley Davidson in 2007, the only year that they were produced. The Patriot was available in all 12 or 15 models, and of the 320, the majority were sportsters. To top that off, the majority of those produced had either the Marine or Army Crests or coats of arms on them. An Air Force Street Glide is rare indeed. Other than the color of a Boss Hoss, they are basically all the same. Granted, you may be able to go 200mph, but when are you ever going to get the opportunity to do so, and even if you could, you'd probably crap your pants way before you reached that speed.
