im 27 miles north of effingham,my brother lives there does that count?i use ta work there but lived in neoga then.grew up in neoga.big city 1100 but i grew up on farm near there.

Well, I am down here in Marion. I used to live in Mt. Carmel. My mother's family is from Wabash County. Most of the posts I've read are from the northern Ilinoisans so it is good to see that there are a few of us LOL That coffee sounds good. Jeanne

Hi everyone.
I am sorry but I have been out of town....I just now came on and saw the response.It would be great to find some of us and all get togather for that coffee.May be we could get something started here in Good OLE Southern Illinois.I hope you are all ok and did not have much problem with all the flooding. Let's try and keep soemthing going here.....ok right????

Hey I didnt know I was from southern IL. I am from Neoga.. in fact I know dobid. I went to school with him. Small world, Huh?
I guess I am kind of on the border of southern IL . I always said I was from south east central IL. Sometimes its easier to say I am 200 miles straight south of Chicago on I 57 people can seem to locate Chicago a lot easier than Effingham hahahaha. I dont get that. I also love the ones that when you say you are from IL they immediately think Chicago. Now you would think if I was from Chicago I would just say that rather than Illinois wouldnt you? I let them know that there is an entire state south of Chicago. Anyhow its nice to see some people here from the area.
