Sometimes people hold on to things that should be let go. This is in every day life as well as in places as this. To just keep on referring to something in the PAST...to upset others or perhaps...just to chit stir is childish and not called for. For each page you turn in the book of life..there is another page waiting to be found and read. Cherish each day..cherish each new friendship. Don't dwell on the negatives...because you will miss out on all the positives.

don't you think, and I agree with you sassy, that sometimes it is something that you have to keep remind yourself every minute...even if you have to hit yourself with that old 2x4 upside the head....cause it is so worth it when the past is just that.....

I'm not one to repeat or paraphrase ol' adages, but...
...The past is history, today is a (the) present, tomorrow is not guaranteed...so the only one that really matters is the present...and make the best of it in the best (and kindest, most loving) way you can...

I agree 100%, but Some people live off Neg feelings and try to bring everything down with them. Thats the kind of people I try to stay away from, Life to short !!!!!

You are right on that Blu...do you find that they can then bring out the negative in you...
I have gotten in the "I need help" webs....and suddenly find myself sitting there down past the gutter, and the person who wanted the help....has moved on to another for help....

Been there and done that too choosey. I have found that negativity breeds negativity. I would much rather pass on a smile and a laugh.

I agree with what you said Sherri, but I also know that we need to remember some of the negatives because we learned from them. Do I let something from the past ruin something new? Nope, but I also make sure that I don't make the same mistake twice. Been there - done that sometimes helps IMHO.

I for one, can have a hard time letting go...I know it is wrong ..I know in the long run, it is only for my own good that I should...but I still will not let go...until I am truly ready...the one nice thing doing it the way I do....I don't let go, to please others, therefore, when I do...it is truly in the past. It will never be brought up again..it is over, done, gone finite.

You got that right Choosey, are your not thier freind if you don't stay down there with them. Because they don't want out of the hole or LET IT GO. Then you have the ones that everything must be about them.
I found many years ago , I have no need to be around them or every talk to them.
Life is what you make it and it can be ALL GOOD if you choose to look at it that way.
