roggor Merlin, OR age: 81	Looks like I'm the only respondent...Well, I really love Darren Aranofsky's films (Pi, Requiem for a Dream, The Fountain). Requiem was intense at the end, when all the characters met their own personal hell. Of special note was the relationship between the son and his mother. His feelings were conflicted, and heroin allowed him to cope with his ambivalence. Aranofsky certainly has a feel for the inner life of his characters.

Requiem's much darker tone makes it, in my opinion, one of the best deterrents a parent could find. definately not a flick for those with weak stomachs but a damn fine film.
