Probably real in my opinion, but not enough data over a long enough period. I think we are heading there but I just shoveled snow today so I'm a little skeptical.

I think it is real. The effects of emissions from cars and factories over the last century has put a bunch of crap in the air.
I also think that our weather is cyclical, and it's about time for a warm trend.

i can't believe americans are still debating if its real or not while other nations in the world are debating about how they're dealing with the problem. i mean, hello, the alps are melting; greenland is melting, antartica is melting. and global warming doesnt mean that everyplace in the world will get hot at the same time; it also means more frequent hurricanes and floods; warmer winters (we had several 60 degree days this winter) and hotter summers (thousands of seniors died one summer in france).
is it worth it to take the risk of not changing things when things can still be changed? if its a false alarm then we have a cleaner better environment; but if we blow it ur condeming ur kids and grandkids to a horrible future.

We are in the warm cycle of the Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation. Whenever the Atlantic warms, the United States warms, whenever it cools we cool. In the next 30 years we will be in the cold cycle of the AMO and people will be talking about the ice age again.

Error 1: “‘Global warming’ is a planetary emergency. It is a crisis and we have to find ways to come to an agreement to reduce the carbon dioxide.”
The facts: There is no “planetary emergency”. Nor is there a “crisis”. If there is an “emergency” or a “crisis”, it is certainly not caused by “global warming”. The increase in global temperatures between 1980 and 1998, when “global warming” stopped, was only half of the small increase shown in the official temperature records (McKitrick, 2006, 2007 in press). In the decade since 1998 there has been no statistically-significant increase in global temperature (HadCRUt3, 2008; US NCDC, 2008; RSS,2008; UAH MSU, 2008; etc.). In the seven years since early 2001, the trend of global temperature has been downward at a rate equivalent to more than 0.4degrees Celsius (0.75 F) per decade:
Error 2: “Today we the people of this planet would put another 70m tons of global warming pollution into the earth’s atmosphere.”
The facts: “Global warming pollution” is Gore’s favorite phrase for “carbon dioxide.” However, CO2 is not a pollutant, but a naturally-occurring gas. Together with chlorophyll and sunlight, it is an essential ingredient in photosynthesis and is, accordingly, plant food. The reconstruction of palaeoclimatological CO2 concentrations below, taken from Berner (2001), demonstrates that carbon dioxide concentration today is almost at its lowest level since the Cambrian era 550 million years ago, when there was almost 20 times as much CO2 in the atmosphere as there is today, without any threat to animal or plant life, and without causing the “runaway greenhouse effect” that Gore likes to mention.

Global Warming is an absolute hoax, a new way to tax globally - and if this scam works, we will pay dearly! Man produces approx. 3% of greenhouse gas emissions. Nature produces 97%. This so called "greenhouse gas" feeds all plant life. It simply is a hoax aimed at dumbed down folks who believe everything they're told - which account for about 70% of the worlds population. Now, what's real is the intentional devaluation of the dollar by the "Central Bank" and the recession it has caused!

There is strong debate on both sides. Problem is that its too complicated and scientific for the average person to relate to or care about. to see, feel immediataly. many charts and videos of 'future doomsday.'
the term should be global pollution... or global destruction.
china is so polluted from factories that the air in bejing is hardly breathable. the waters are a toxic dump.
same with india. tons and tons of pollutants dumped in the waters and land.
africa, asian countries being torn apart from habitat destruction. thousands of animal and plant species on verge of extinction from logging and building. illegal poaching.
these are just a few examples of a global tragedy that goes on every day. not graphs and scientific analysis of what will happen in the next 100 years.
sadly, not much is being done to address the pollution/destruction problem which is right now and very real. instead it goes round and round with is there global 'warming' or not.
