Ok, for what it's worth.
Married 21 years, he was an alcoholic. Last two years of the marriage wouldn't even be considered a marriage. Over a year NO SEX, constant name calling. He was a zombie on pills and booze (watched the same damn movie over and over). I went to him and said "look WE have a problem, WE need help, WE need to see a counselor" His reply "won't do any good, ain't going". This wasnt the first time I'd ask for a divorce nor for him to get help, but I kept hanging on for "vows, convictions, and kids". Guess he assumed as usual it was a "threat" and I wasnt serious. Difference was for over a year I'd known this other man as a friend ONLY. But this other man saw day to day what was going on and there was a whole hell of a lot of chemistry that never was acted on even though we were alone alot together. I ask for a divorce, my then husband threatened my life to sign over a 1971 mach one mustang that was mine to him and he left in it for over a week...THEN SHIT JUST HAPPENED. So yes technically I cheated since I was still married. It was something I'd never dreamed I would have done, EVER EVER, I took my vows seriously, NOT that I gave a tinker's damn about my husband, but I did care about that promise I made to God!! I broke it, I'm guilty, I made my amens to God, and that's that. What anyone else thinks of the deal is their loss and issue, not mine. As long as I'm forgiven by THE MAN UPSTAIRS....
