I'm only here because I can't afford to live anywhere else. I have moved to many places in the southeastern part of MI, but nowhere outside the state, oh, unless I count the 4 months I spent, with my now ex, in Pennsylvania. I could write a book..but I won't..

To live here,you have to
enjoy all 4 seasons,I do.
Here where I live its very
serene,abundance of wildlife,
Great neighbors.Its more of a
slower-paced lifestyle.

LOVE it here, absolutely love michigan, not for the economical factors, because for a long time that's been on a huge downslide, but for the natural things. If i didn't need to make a living, i'd definitly head north, i'll just have to wait for retirement for that move.

Being surrounded by our inland sea's is almost like being
a country within a country, although I love the USA.

Bred, born and raised in Michigan, can't really imagine living anywhere else. Living in the woods of Northern MI, I have deer walking through my back yard. Drove a semi in my early 20's and have been in every state but Hawaii, and I'm still here. Now if we all could make better money......

Been here since 1968...
Love it!
Rumor central posts
You do have to like all 5 seasons...
Winter, almost winter, construction, fall construction, and pre-winter....
This year I understand there may be legislation before the State Congress to add a 6th season, "Pothole Season", Only to last 3 to six weeks following winter before construction season..
also rumored is changing construction season to "Orange Barrel Time" to help with Public appeal..
It does appear that the department of energy has figured out that by decreasing speeds we could save gas and lower demand so they maybe considering and "State Wide" construction zones to take advantage of the gas saving lower speeds.....
Just kidding...
This is a Great State.
after 40 years, I have planted roots here by now..
Just not the same anywhere else.
Visit other Places but always want to come back to home.
Michigan is Home
Just wish our economy was better!

GREAT STATE!! I love the season change, even winter!! We are blessed with the Great Lakes, and sometimes I think we take them for granted (I do anyways) Michigan is a great place to live, with wonderful parks and great sports teams! GO WINGS!!!

I have family here. I do like it but would love to escape to Florida the months of January ,February and March.
Also....I am not sure what it`s like in other areas of Michigan but I am surrounded by a lot of Arabs,Asians and Indians. Does anyone speak English anymore???
I have to live near my place of employment because it is family owned.
