Wouldn't put one on my own body but have seen some absolutely beautiful ones on other women. I prefer private body painting sessions where the art of the day matches the mood of the day. Just like you change jewelry to match an outfit. That way your body art matches the occasion.
I have often snapped a mental picture of the nursing homes of the future with the front porches filled with wrinkled, faded tattoos in rocking chairs and visiting grandchildren asking each other "what were they ever thinking?"
Go easy, Krupa. Lars doesn't visit us that often. He's entitled to express his opinion also. He probably has to be at the office early in the morning while you're still sleeping in, so he's probably dreaming right now about the tats you've all been bragging about. Hope it isn't giving him nightmares.

Why Marines ?cause they r lean and mean and make me feel protected hee hee course, I like all the military branches , come from a big military family.......we got Air Force, Navy , Army , Nat'l Guard....just love military life and ppl, been in it for many yrs.

Hummingbird has a hummingbird. Cool! That's my next planned tattoo. Currently I have just one: a yellow rose to represent my Dad. (You can read about it in my profile blog if you care to know more.) The hummingbird will be for my mom & placed opposite the rose. And I agree with the rumor that tats are addictive. LOL! I would like to have my 3 daughters' names made into an iris but I'm not sure where I would put it. At first I thought I would put it about mid-spine but I'm seriously considering angel wings on my back.
My daughter turns 18 today and will be getting her first tattoo. She is a talented artist and has designed something kind of Celtic for the back of her neck.

I have 3 currently one on each calf and one on my neckline only visible when I wear a tank top and I am about to get one more...
My only thing is when people talk about getting them is to get something that in 10 years you will not regret having and in a place you can live with if people look at them.

now that i think about it, my friend on his finger has a mustache tattooed there, so i looooooove spending time w/him cause when ur upset or he's being funny he puts his finger over his mouth.. and is like 'anna please cheer up, you want me for my mustache dont you'. i love stupid tattoos sometimes, haha, and my bff she has a jarrassic park tattoo.
