Boy,
I am 41, for me when I search for profiles of women I go ten years in each direction, 31-51. I hope that is acceptable, it seems ok to me.

Im 46 next month. I think I could be comfortable in the 34-52 year old bracket. I'm more worried with approaching the 34 side of it, than the other, because of generational differences becoming more apparent. Lower than that, and there would have to be some incredible intersections of common interests and her understanding of what my age would mean to her in the ensuing years. So, as a rule of thumb: never anything more than 16 years on either side of me, right now. That's not so bad, leaves a 32 year span of women, LOL.

my dad turns 40 next week.
i get more msgs from guys 45+ on this site, than anyone my age.....
but, i can see maby dating someone 35 personally.... if we clicked, i dont know how my parents would feel about that, but i am an adult now. it all depends, never say never i say.

I have had long term relationships with men 5ys younger, 12 yrs older and some who were closer to my age. Honestly older was harder for me because this particular man acted old. I enjoyed the younger one most. There was more adventure there in all areas. Hard act to follow.
Again, though I think it is all individual. I have met some really old young ones and some really young old ones.

let your intended's age = Y
if X > Y + Y, baaaad
if X > Y + 2 and Y < 17, baaaad
