If the first date was this weekend, we'd go to Artscape, the largest free art festival in the USA. Isley Brothers played last night, another major band tonight, another Sunday night. Over 300 artists selling every imaginable form of art. Fashion shows. Art car parade. Poetry slams. Short story and play competitions. 1,000,000 legos building forum. Operas. Billy Holliday competition. And the list goes on for about 50 pages.
If our first date was this coming Tuesday, we'd go to Oriole Park for Cal Ripken night and get our free Ripken bobbleheads.
If our first date was Wednesday, we'd go square dancing. Thursday would be line dancing. Friday would be Swing Dancing. Saturday would be Argentine Tango. Sunday would be salsa night.
If we were going to meet for lunch, it would be a picnic at Cylburn Arboretum or the Zoo.
If it were Saturday morning, we could take the paddleboats out in the Harbor or a sailboat from a marina. Early Thursday evening we could take a canoe down Deer Creek.
If you wanted something a little more elegant, we could ask John Shield's which special he recommended at his Cafe D'Artistes and take a stroll through the sculpture garden at the BMA. Or take in the Visionary Art Museum and their Thursday evening movie series in Federal Hill park.
Need at least 50 First Dates to scratch the surface in this town.

Shoot Metu...been in and around O town 28 yrs. Bet you don't remember this...when 436 was a two lane road, 434 went out all the way into & through Oviedo 2 lanes, and most days I-4 was practically deserted, but guess what S.O.B.T has and always will be "hookerville". I live in Jacksonville now, plenty to do, but u gotta wait til it cools down at night.

it depends on what you like to do! It is SUMMER TIME! Go to the park and walk around talking, get ice cream and then maybe some lunch. go swimming! I would shoot for a fun outdoor things. To me that's a really great way to get to know someone and you will be having fun at the same time.

"ArtWalk"....they close the streets down town for four blocks...galleries and eateries invite artists, musicians and dance troupes to perform all over the place. Classy lil bar for drinks. Really cool! Some times they even have "Dog Walk" where you can bring your dogs too with kiddie pools for the dogs to wade in or drink from with doggie treats all over the place.........really laid back and cool!
