Nice eye candy, but that doesn't mean he is a real man by any stretch...

a real man is one with flaws but who has character and integrity - he works hard, treats
women with respect, has family values and a ton of heart.

and I think they want the same things we do, affection, honesty, companionship, loyalty, sense of humor, good values and someone they can click with.

I'm sure both lists could be added to.

My idea of a "real man" is a man
1:That has a JOB, a real job and can be a good provider
2:Someone who is self sufficent, and can take care of him self ie: can cook, do his own laundry, clean up after himself, and doesn't rely on a woman to meet his basic needs
3:A man that has a good sense of family, meaning he takes care of his kids finacially and emotionaly. Shovels his mother out, mows his grandma's lawn, gives his brother a lift, and is there for his family when they need him
4:a man that respects women. cares about how we feel, and is after more than just sex.
5: faithful, isn't a cheater and doesn't bail when times are hard
6: responsible..holds down a job, helps around the house, and with the kids, and can be counted on( without being told)
7: protector. A man that would stop at nothing to protect his children and spouse. And who'd seriously hurt anyone who puts them in danger
8: knows when enough is enough. that is.. isn't an alcoholic, drug addict, excessive gambler, or porn feind
9:not abusive...emotionally,physically,sexualy, or over protective. Doesn't feel his wife is his property and tells her what to do, wear, who to see.. etc
10: honest,loving,romantic,funny,social,strong,spontanious,chill,adventurous, and a hardworker

I think any man who posesses these characteristics is indeed a "REAL MAN"
So the answer is NO there are no real men anywhere

A real man is only "real" in the eyes of the beholder. One that may be real for some, may not be considered real to others.

I don't care for the term "real man". We all know what we would like to have in a relationship, whether it include a good communicator, someone that is caring, loving, etc... Those are all real characteristics.... leave out the material things like must have a car, house, a job that makes lots of money, etc. These material things do not make up a man.

Your right, everyone's image of what a real man or woman is, Is their own personal taste. There are some women(and men) out there that believe your a real man only when you've killed someone. Chuckles asked what us ladies refer to as a real man, and I was only stating what I think qualifies someone as a "real" man. No offense to anybody that doesn't meet my description. It's just MY opinion, and I have yet to meet very many people(men or women) who live up to those expectations.
