I've come to realize that finding the right person sometimes requires stepping beyond our realm of comfort so I'm not limited to women from the NYC area. I'm open to getting to know someone from California or anywhere in between. If it's worth it we'll find a way to close in on the distance. I chose 'strong silent type' but at the same time I can be outgoing. I lie somewhere in between extrovert & introvert. I don't think any of these dating sites truly give us enough options to describe our personalities. I don't even think I could fully describe myself either, not in one sitting especially given the fact that I'm forever evolving. As for what I'm looking for... Physically speaking I prefer a slender woman. From experience I'm more compatible with women that are slim/slender/skinny/average in shape. Intelligence and common sense top the list as far as your personality, confidence, self awareness, and a good sense of humor are up there as well. I like to keep it pretty general because we come in all forms and while I know what I'm looking for I won't pass up on a great opportunity simply because it doesn't fit my "ideal".
