I am: Real. Unpretentious. Laid-back, but sensitive. Stable. Safe. Secure. Independent. Mild, not wild. Sweet and kind, but very strong inside. Honest and loyal. Confident, but not arrogant. Giver, not taker. Big on principles, morals, and God. Worked hard all my life to excel spiritually, emotionally, physically, financially, and socially and the investments have paid off and were well worth the sacrifices. Love family, love friends, love good food, good conversation, and laughter. Often. And did I mention God? His kingdom rocks and rules!
Looking for friends with whom to enjoy my journey and "the one" with whom I want to die and would gladly "die for." Seriously! Anybody up to supper with a good, ol' military guy, retired executive, and traveler to other worlds? But, please, no high-maintenance manipulators, psycho-analysts, perfectionists, trophies, gold-diggers, or sugar-babies. (I realize that pretty much excludes everyone, including myself, hahaha, but I'm very particular, indeed! And very patient, too.)
I've already lived a very full and exciting life on three continents, as well as all over the US, with three different careers (blah, blah, blah), and I'm thoroughly enjoying being slower now. My legs were paralyzed while flying fighters for the Air Force in 1979, so taking care of myself, my mother, and my home is very rewarding and challenging at my age and abilities (or lack thereof, hahaha)! Was named the Disabled American of the Year by Prez Bush and have been doing speeches, etc. all over the world ever since (yada, yada, yada and woo hoo for fame). Now I'm a short-term missionary teaching pastors and elders how to minister the Lord's mercy, as well as His grace and His love.
I've been divorced and flying solo for seven years, now, and my kids are gone - son (25) M4 at UT College of Medicine in Memphis, daughter (21) senior at U of the South in Sewanee, TN.
I seek what we all seek, I think, but I am extremely into "balance." "Bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh" also comes to mind.
PS My best feature is what beats "within" my chest and I'm "all in" to romance, intimacy, and affection, but will not cross "the line" and become "one" with you until after the "I do." I'm not an "anti-sex" prude, or incapable, just patient, faithful, and seriously sincere.
