It's not so much I'm shy as I'm kinda quiet until I get to know you (unless I'm nervous - then I might talk a mile a minute... ) I enjoy good, long conversations, reading, writing, long walks, cuddling (especially on a rainy afternoon). Prefer going out to the movies though staying in, with the right person, in front of the DVD player/TV has it's perks  Have recently re-discovered 'making-out.' Hugging/kissing's a good thing! Music is essential to my life (August Rush, the movie - see it!). I love to sing (have been known to soothe a savage beast or two in my time  ) - love to listen - sadly, playing was never my forte. Somehow I managed to marry a non-musician and yet, before (and since), practically everyone in my life's been musically inclined. Hated History in school but, now, love visiting historic sites. Lived in VA, SC, N/CA and, of course, NC, as well as spent 2 years in Scotland (still waiting to go back). Recently moved back to NC after many years away. This time I'd really like to actually get to see/know my home state. Love to travel - day trips, long weekends, longer when time allows - comfort beats amenities, hands down. Favorite places; NC: the mountains (Boone area, especially), & OBX (usually, spring & fall) - US: San Francisco's Bay Area, NYC, Boston, Tidewater Area of VA, and lots more still to see... - UK: Glasgow, Edinburgh, London, Manchester area, the whole country.
Really not looking for a long term relationship but would love to find a good friend to spend time with. If a relationship develops - that's the icing on the cake. Not looking for love, but certainly wouldn't say no to it either. In the meantime - let's talk - get to know one another - see what develops. Good conversation is almost as good as... Throw in a sense of humor - and WOW!!! Honesty, truth - are real important!
