Many years ago my dad gave me some of the greatest advice I ever heard. "Do the right thing," he would often say, and this has been my main philosophy of life ever since. Because of this, I treat family, friends, and coworkers as I want to be treated; I work steadily and honestly in my job as a contractor and home remodeler; and always search for truth in whatever I do. I enjoy listening to folks' concerns, whether they're about the style of their kitchen faucet or the existence of God or anything in between. There are always questions to ponder and new ways of thinking. I consider the impact of my actions (and yes, my thoughts) on the world, and live modestly, wasting as little as possible. I value my free time and use it to read, fix up the house, relax on the beach or on my porch swing, or tinker with my vehicle. I'm totally into 80's music and still have a collection of vinyl record albums and a turntable! I don't know what happened to my 8-track cassettes.
I'm looking for someone who is honest with herself and with others, happy, intelligent (though not necessarily highly educated), and trying to discover the world, and who wants to share that adventure with a like-minded person. She must be OK with a guy who has: a wonderfully receding hairline; as well as good health; energy; a bright smile; who likes to dance ( a little goofy sometimes); and who goes to church each week but isn't sure that this church is the right one for him. Life is often about exploring, and if we pursue it with a pure heart, then we grow and become wiser, more wholesome people.
