My name is Nathaniel Ralston, and I am a 20 year old student attending Graceland University in Iowa. Although I attend school in Iowa, my home is in Tampa, FL. I am attending Graceland for a degree in animal biology and a minor in psychology, and plan to graduate in 2011. My future career goal is to become a zookeeper or animal care specialist at a zoo or hopefully Sea World. I love animals, but I also love working with people and I believe this career will allow me to do both of those things.
Although I am not going into it as a career, music is a key part of my life. Not only do I love to listen to music, but I love to play music. My main instruments are the piano, trombone, and organ, and I love to play them nearly every day, especially the piano. Music is in my soul, and I almost always have some song in my head or I am playing it on the piano. I have the gift of a brilliant musical ear and I enjoy just sitting down at the piano and play whatever song is in my head at that moment. Here at the college, I am currently lead trombone in the orchestra, as well as in the jazz ensemble. I also enjoy singing.
I am a very outgoing person, and I love making new friends. I always enjoy hanging out with my friends and even partying occasionally, but in general just having a good time. I like to try new things every once and a while, because it can be fun and sometimes I find something I like.
Family is very important to me. I love my parents, especially my dad, and also my little sister. My dad and I are always looking for excuses to do stuff together, like play music together or even go camping every once and a while. I am on great terms with my family, and that makes me really happy because I know I can count on them to support me. I love them!
Religion is also important to me. I don't really know what to say other than that I have a close relationship with God and that I am an ordained minister in my church, the Community of Christ. I have grown up in the church my entire life and I know the Lord watches over me and I pray that others get to know him too.
In my spare time I like to hang out with friends, play music, draw or paint, play video games, play sports with friends, party occasionally, take photos, go on walks, and go camping occasionally.
